I’m a little confused if someone can give me some insight. I’m trying to grow a beard and I would say I’m about one month in. I was told TO USE beard oils to help with the itch and to make it look smoother. Am I not supposed to use beard oils? Does it stop the growing process? Thanks!

Why did he say don't use the oil?

He said that the oil is too rich for your skin and will iritate it or cause breakouts. Basically it's too much for the level of growth he has here and he recommends a liquid balm to condition the hair (and skin). If anyone has a good balm recommendation though, I'd love to hear it!

To add another point about the bottom of the beard is everyone’s face is uneven. That’s why he makes the line lower on one side. Avoid trying to even it out when looking straight ahead with your head tilted back.
